I know that for sure, because I’ve experienced this for myself. I know how my life has changed – and I want the same for you!
I didn’t even know it at the time, but I spent over 40 years living with anxiety and dealing with it on a day to day basis. Because I didn’t know that there was any other way to be, and received wisdom seems to be that ‘that’s just how you are’, I did nothing about it. It’s not that my life was miserable, far from it. I was happy with so many things in my life, but nevertheless I would wake every morning (and frequently during the night) with my heart pounding and my mind racing. When I finally decided I was not prepared to spend the rest of my life being a poor sleeper, I approached a hypnotherapist for help. What a revelation! I had finally found someone who recognised and understood what was going on in my head, and what’s more, assured me that I could change. The news was liberating, empowering and exciting!
As I began to find my way out of the fog and into the clarity of a calm mind, I was curious to know more. How was it that something I had considered just a part of me that I had to put up with, could be changed relatively easily? As I looked around I began to realise that part of the reason it had seemed so real and so normal to me was that it was the experience of so many other people. I began to observe how many times I heard people referring to their ‘mind buzzing non-stop’, feeling stressed or scared, or suffering poor sleep as I had. I was fascinated to notice how accepting we have become as a society of ‘stress’ as a normal, everyday and unavoidable side-effect of everyday living. I found myself wanting to shout from the rooftops:
And so I was inspired to find out more, to train as a hypnotherapist myself, and then a coach and to start my own business. As time goes by I find more and more ways to express myself more fully and joyfully in the world. This is what I want for you too.

Transformational coaching is unlike conventional coaching, which involves learning new techniques to make your life more effective. My coaching involves helping you to unlock your own potential, to achieve the results you desire, by guiding you towards a realisation of the way that we create our experience. We all have inside us the potential to achieve our goals, and it is our own beliefs and limited thinking which stand in our way. Together we will find that quiet space where you can access a powerful source of unlimited new ideas and inspiration.
Many of us are aware of the sheer amount of thinking going on inside our heads – what we might call ‘busy mind’! We have been taught that thinking is the way to solve our problems, or make ourselves feel better, but in fact, the reverse is true. You have probably spent a lot of mental effort trying to solve your issues this way – and so you know it doesn’t work. LESS thinking is what is needed – allowing intuition to guide our way.
This is what I will help you to achieve.
Hypnosis is not something which is done to you, but rather a state you can choose to enter, accessing the unconscious part of your mind, while the conscious, rational part of the mind is temporarily bypassed. In this focussed state, beneficial suggestions may be given directly to the unconscious part of your mind. You are then able to make changes to belief patterns and behaviours, or gain access to new insights and wisdom.
During hypnosis you remain aware and in control at all times, and you can decide the changes you wish to make. Most people find the experience deeply relaxing, and often realise that they had forgotten what it is like to feel truly relaxed. This in itself is a powerful therapeutic tool. I will also teach you to use self-hypnosis to access this relaxed and resourceful state yourself, giving you an effective tool for managing difficult situations in life.

Programmes consist of a minimum of 4 sessions of about an hour. I offer a range of programmes for specific issues. Ideally, I like to coach clients over a longer period to help you to embed your new understanding of the way your mind works in other areas of your life too.
You retain control and responsibility for your therapy progress at all times. Your commitment to the process is paramount. I will guide you to make the changes you want.
