Do you suffer pain from migraines or serious headaches?
Do you suffer from a painful chronic medical condition such as IBS or fibromyalgia?
Do you need help coping with your pain?
Hypnosis used for pain control and pain management offers help where medication may have failed.
It is only when signals from a particular part of your body reach the brain, that you can recognise the sensation as pain. This understanding forms the basis of clinical hypnotherapy’s effectiveness in managing pain.
There is also an emotional component to pain, which gives you an opportunity to change your perception and thus change your experience of pain.
There are two stages in hypnotherapy for pain management:
Stage 1 Involves the use of hypnotherapy techniques, to change your perception of pain. Even if you have been suffering from chronic pain for some time, you will be amazed at how effective hypnosis can be.
Stage 2 You are taught self hypnosis so that you can continue to manage your own comfort. Self hypnosis can be easily taught and with practice can become an invaluable part of your self-care routine. It is a valuable life skill that you can use in many other ways in addition to pain control.
(Hypnotherapy is a complementary therapy, and I will always confirm that you have consulted your GP first if you are experiencing serious or chronic pain.)
